2nd Annual “A Walk In Their Shoes”

Registration will be held at Tim’s House (20 Kingman Street, St. Albans VT) beginning at 1:00 PM. The walk will begin at 2:00 PM and will consist of a trek around St. Albans (appx. 3 miles total) to give participants a look at a day in the life of our clients.
The walk involves a few surprises to demonstrate the daily challenges of people experiencing homelessness and stops at and/or presentations from:
-Martha’s Kitchen
-Franklin/Grand Isle Community Action (with a tour of the food shelf!)
-Turning Point of Franklin County
-Spectrum Youth & Family Services
-Voices Against Violence (Laurie’s House)
100% of proceeds will go directly to assisting individuals and families experiencing homelessness in their transition into safe, affordable and permanent housing.
There will be prizes for individuals and groups who collect the most donations. All money must be turned in at the registration table on the day of the event. For a registration form, please email ben.kaufmann@samaritan-house.com
