One of the most useful ways you can support our organization is through a monetary donation. Keeping the shelter operational is expensive (the average cost to shelter one person for one night is more than $50!) and the outreach we do in the community adds to that cost significantly. Your support is crucial in helping us continue service to our community. Your donations are greatly appreciated (and tax-deductible!). More ways to help are at the bottom of this page.
Checks can be made payable to Samaritan House and mailed to:

Other Ways To Help
We understand that financial giving is not always an option for everyone, and we want you to know there are many ways to help further our mission without ever opening your wallet. Please don’t feel bound by this list – if you have an idea for supporting the shelter we’d love to hear from you!
-Volunteerism: We always need help at our front desk, cleaning our facilities and organizing donated items. Give us a call to see how you can help!
-Donate an item: We are always in need of unopened cleaning and hygiene supplies as well as bedding in good condition. If you have an item you’d like to donate but aren’t sure if we need it, please just reach out. Unfortunately, we are no longer able to accept clothing. Storage space is limited, so please call ahead to confirm our ability to accept a donation.
-Participate in our events: Reach out to us about being a sponsor or participant for our annual golf tournament, October’s “A Walk In Their Shoes” or our $5 Fridays on Facebook.
-Word of mouth: Just encourage others to support our mission, promote legislation which helps people experiencing homelessness, like us on Facebook (facebook.com/samaritanhouseinc) and share our events. Our wonderful community is our biggest asset and sometimes warm encouragement is the best thing you can do for us!
